Cllr Kevin Maton, Cabinet Member responsible for libraries, said: “Libraries have long been about more than borrowing books. We’ve worked hard to increase the different ways our libraries can be used by the whole community and I congratulate staff for their enterprising approach in developing initiatives to make this happen.
“Coffee shops and libraries seem such natural partners for a modern lifestyle and I’m delighted STAX is now open.”
Darren Ratcliffe, Managing Director for STAX, added: “Libraries are such well-loved places and we at STAX know they are not just about great book collections and electronic resources.
“We are working to help to promote libraries as relevant and modern community spaces for lifelong learning and social interaction.”
